  • Session One: EDI System Components
    Review basic definitions and the components of networks, software, and people that must work together to support business relationships with EDI. This session will also cover different types of support responsibilities.
  • Session Two: Organizing EDI for EC
    Learn how to determine goals for your EDI program, and how to organize and plan for implementation. This session will consider how goals change as implementation maturity increases.
  • Session Three: Working with Service Providers
    Discover the important questions to ask and features to asses when working with software, networking, and banking service providers. The session stresses the importance of assuring the goals of the service vendors are consistant with the business goals of their customers.
  • Session Four: Working with Trading Partners
    Understand effective trading partner communication, roll-out programs, guideline development, and administrative strategies for managing trading partner relationships.
  • Session Five: Open Forum
    Discuss items which class members identify as their biggest challenges and explore possible solutions.
  • Session Six: Opportunities for Electronic Commerce
    Identify links between EDI, EC, and e-Business components. Topics include the use of EC in emerging industries, Internet related topics, and developments in e-Business.
