under the HIPAA mandate. The attachments business model will be
discussed along with the transaction flow diagrams and the components
of health care claim attachments.

This session focuses on the use
of the 277 by a health care payer to request additional information
to support a health care claim or encounter. It provides a detailed
explanation of the transaction set by defining uniform data content,
identifying valid code tables, and specifying values applicable
for the business focus of the 277 Request for Additional Information.

Three: HL7 Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) and XML
This session
provides a definition for the HL7 CDA, its background, history
and structure along with a brief introduction to extensible markup
language (XML) and how the CDA is used to represent health care
clinical data content especially when used for the EDI requirements
under HIPAA.

This
session provides a high level overview of the six HL7 Booklets
and associated LOINC developed thus far and recommended for adoption

This session focuses on the use of the 275
to send additional information to support a claim or encounter.
This session will depict the encapsulation of the Health Level
Seven (HL7) CDA Standard within the 275 transaction for health
care claims attachments. This
session also steps the attendees though the process of mapping
a 275 Additional Information to Support a Health Care Claim or
Encounter
transaction.
