Dan is a founding
member of EDI Partners, Ltd. He specializes in EDI implementation
and education strategy. He currently supports EDI seminars offered
by major universities, plus he has developed custom EDI education
programs for several Fortune 50 companies.
Dan provided
EDI business consulting to Korea Trade Network (KTNet), which is
implementing EDI service for the international trading community
in South Korea. He has also consulted with the government of Malaysia
on the implementation of EDI to support customs services. Dan continues
to provide consulting on the development of business plans and market
awareness activity throughout Asia.
Before co-founding
EDI Partners, Dan was Vice President of International Sales and
Marketing for a leading EDI education and consulting organization.
He also spent 11 years developing EDI value added network services
at McDonnell Douglas EDI*Net, which was later acquired by British
Telecom. He was the Manager of International Business Development
for the EDI*Net organization. He managed EDI business activity supporting
the federal government, transportation services and international
markets for McDonnell Douglas EDI*Net.
He was primarily
responsible for the initial development of the international EDI
strategy being implemented by British Telecom. He has conducted
over 300 EDI seminars in 15 different countries, delivered numerous
presentations on a variety of EDI topics and consulted with organizations
in North America, the Far East, Australasia, and Europe. Dan has
written many articles on EDI and is frequently quoted on the topic
of international activity.
Dan spent 11
years on active duty in the U.S. Army, including 12 months in Vietnam.
He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the U.S. Army Reserve, where
he taught strategy for the United States Army Command and General
Staff College. He has degrees from Xavier University, The University
of Texas and the United States Army Command and General Staff College.
