Ruth Andersen
is a member of EDI Partners specializing in EDI planning and financial
EDI, with over 15 years of consulting experience. Ruth is an instructor
in public and private courses including: managerial training in
EDI, Financial EDI/EFT, ANSI and EDIFACT Standards, and cash management.
She also taught short-term finance at Northwestern University’s
Kellogg Graduate School.
Previously Ruth
was employed by First Chicago for thirteen years, initially in the
Systems Management Division, and from 1978 in the Consulting Division.
As a consultant she managed systems development, EDI and cash management
studies for Fortune 1000 clients and midwestern customers of the
bank.
Ruth has designed
and managed EDI planning studies, cost/benefit analyses, vendor
selection, and educational programs in electronic data interchange
and financial EDI. In her role as instructor, she has made numerous
presentations including ASC X12 DISA conventions, the TMA/NCCMA,
the National Association of Credit Managers, auditing groups, and
technical user groups. She has also published articles in The Journal
of Cash Management, EDI Forum, Cashflow Magazine, Computer World
and Business Credit.
Ruth serves
as vice president of The Greater Chicago EDI Forum, a user group
of Chicago area companies interested in promoting EDI. She also
serves as a member of the Finance subcommittee of ASC X12. Her educational
background includes a BA in economics from Macalester College, and
an MBA in finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School
of Management.
